For over 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan (Bigs) has developed and supported one-to-one mentoring relationships for more than 17,000 children, changing outcomes one child at a time. Through our commitment to quality and innovation, our team develops, nurtures, supervises, and sustains caring and supportive, life-changing relationships between adult mentors (Bigs) and youth (Littles).
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
We are seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, to support our CEO and help amplify our impact.
In this role, you'll be the backbone of our operations, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and ensuring our team runs smoothly. Your exceptional customer service skills will shine, creating lasting impressions on our constituents, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. With strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortability with Customer Relationship Management software, you’ll help streamline processes and assist with fundraising events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to the CEO.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our constituents (mentors, mentees, families, donors, business and community partners).
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including vendor relations, internal forms, onboarding tasks for new staff, and supply orders.
- Preparing accounts payable and accounts receivable for Administrative Financial Assistant
- Printing and sending prepared mailings
- Execute tasks related to fundraising events, including donor tracking, participant communications and assistance with event coordination.
- Promote Bigs’ mission and values actively to all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of 3+ years of administrative experience, with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as familiarity with Google applications is required. Experience with software platforms such as QuickBooks Online and Salesforce is preferred. A valid US driver’s license is required. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, reference checks, and a driving record check.

COMPENSATION
This is a non-exempt, full-time position with an annual salary of $40,000-$45,000 commensurate with experience. Bigs provides a suite of benefits to our team, including:
