Overview

The Roastery Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the entire roastery runs smoothly, efficiently, and with excellence. This role oversees production, inventory, team coordination, and quality control—serving as the backbone of Espresso Bay’s coffee operations at their Roastery (319 Pine St. Kalkaska, MI 49646.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily roastery operations and workflow
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supply levels
  • Maintain and implement general cleaning schedule
  • Plan and schedule roasting based on demand (retail, wholesale, online)
  • Supervise and support roastery staff
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all products meet Espresso Bay quality standards
  • Manage invoicing and expense tracking related to the roastery
  • Improve systems, efficiency, and organization over time
