Job description
Receives general supervision from the Superintendent, Garage Division and day-to-day activities from the Chief Vehicular Equipment Technician. A Vehicle Equipment Technician is thoroughly trained and experienced in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all City vehicles and equipment.
This employee functions as an experienced mechanic/technician, at the journey level, performing a wide range of maintenance, diagnostic, and mechanical repair. This is a full-time union position with a competitive benefits package.

The starting pay is $23.38 per hour, ($48,630.40 annually for 40 hour work week). By the third year, the pay goes up to $25.84 per hour, ($53,747.20 annually for 40 hour work week).
