About Us:
Our new school is experiencing exponential growth as we look to begin our fifth cohort in August 2025. We need to hire multiple instructors who are excited about blending old-school performance with new-school digital capabilities, in an evolving educational environment. We practice rigid flexibility! The ideal candidate will be able to start on July 1, 2026, to spend a month learning our program and systems, before beginning instruction in August 2026. This role will report to the Program Director and may be responsible for developing one or two junior Instructors. *(We are hiring two Junior Instructors too; experienced AMTs who want to get into teaching).
Legacy Aviation Learning Center is a FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) dedicated to providing the highest quality education and training for future aviation maintenance professionals. Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of general, airframe, and powerplant courses in accordance with FAA regulations and the school's innovative and accelerated curriculum. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for educating the next generation of aviation maintenance professionals. Not just a strong mechanic, but a professional educator!
Responsibilities:
· Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, lectures, and practical demonstrations in general, airframe, and powerplant subject areas.
· Ability and desire to instruct and monitor students in both the classroom and lab/shop/hangar.
· Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure mastery of course material and FAA certification requirements.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
· Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continually assess and improve the curriculum, ensuring it remains up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
· Stay current on developments in aviation maintenance and safety, including new technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
· Assist in the maintenance and organization of classrooms, labs, and equipment.
· Participate in professional development opportunities, including industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
· Represent the school at recruitment events, industry functions, and other public-facing engagements.
· Provide guidance and support to students in their career planning and job search efforts.
