About Us

We are a third generation masonry family with extensive history and experience in the masonry industry in the state of Michigan. We started with Boettcher Masonry where Steve Fournier was co-owner and vice president for 35 years. He was then co-owner of Grand Traverse Construction for 5 years. We then left the general contracting business to return to our masonry roots.

Steve is a Board Member for Masonry Institute of Michigan. He was also one of the first mason contractors in the state of Michigan to be a Certified Structural Masonry Inspector.

Chad Fournier, our president and co-owner is a Board Member for Michigan Mason Contractors Association (MMCA).

Bay Masonry tradesmen have vast knowledge and experience in the masonry industry. Many began with Steve at Boettcher Masonry and were hand selected to continue with him at Grand Traverse and now Bay Masonry. Many have been professionally trained and have had continuing education in the industry. Some of the training our team has been a part of is the following:

At this time we have 30+ tradesmen, 6 foremen and 2 general superintendents. We have 1 estimator/project manager.
