About Us

Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools is a Catholic school system in Traverse City serving approximately 1,100 students in Preschool through 12th grade. It is comprised of the following schools:
• St. Francis Preschool (3s and 4s) - 123 E. 11th St., TC, MI 49684
• Immaculate Conception Elementary School (PreK - Grade 5) - 314 Vine St., TC, MI 49684
• St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School (Grades 6-8) - 1602 Three Mile Rd., TC, MI 49696
• St. Francis High School (Grades 9-12) - 123 E. 11th St., TC, MI 49684

As part of the Diocese of Gaylord, GTACS provides Catholic education that develops each child to their fullest spiritual and academic potential. It is proudly supported by five local parishes: Christ the King Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception Church, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Serving an economically diverse population, GTACS offers a rigorous curriculum, competitive athletics, and creative arts. Its rich history dates back to 1877.
