Northwest Education Services (formerly TBAISD) is one of 56 regional educational service agencies within Michigan, and proudly serves over 24,000 students throughout Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties. Our agency serves 16 public school districts, six public school academies, and twelve private and parochial schools within Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties. We work together with local school districts to determine the services needed to improve student learning, serve children’s special needs, develop teachers’ expertise and work collaboratively to maximize services and resources on a regional scale.
Mission: Working together to develop learners with purpose, strong schools, and engaged communities.
Vision: Partnering to serve, learn and lead to ensure every learner will have pathways to a meaningful life.
Our top priority is to meet the needs of all students through a variety of educational programs and services designed to support individual growth and achievement, meet state and federal legislative mandates, and enrich school programs throughout the five-county service area. From early childhood through adult education, our staff work to provide the resources, guidance, supports, and instructional best practices that will strengthen the region's education system and help every individual experience success as they navigate a lifetime of learning.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Traverse Bay region.
