About Us

Plascon is a blown film manufacturer in Traverse City, Michigan. We offer biodegradable and recyclable film that meets all FDA Food & Beverage packaging regulations for growers, restaurants, and manufacturing. Plascon also manufactures the Saftea® Liner tea urn liner, which has the only zip lock top seal to help protect customers and the company from accidental ingredients, and a writable information strip for freshness. Tea decanters need to be emptied and cleaned often to assure freshness and most importantly to prevent teas from molding. With the Saftea® Liner you can count on freshness, flavor, and safe-to-drink beverages. Our biodegradable and recyclable plastic bags, and tubing are currently being used in bakeries, farming, hospitals, outdoor festivals, and commercial composting.
