Leeda Bashardost, MD, Joins Munson Neurocritical Care
Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Leeda Bashardost, MD, to the Neurocritical Care team.
Dr. Bashardost is a highly dedicated board-certified neurologist with a specialization in neurocritical care. Her passion for neurology was ignited during her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto, Canada. She further pursued her medical education at St. Matthew’s University, School of Medicine, and completed her neurology residency at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Alongside her residency, she earned a Master of Health Sciences in Translational Research from the University of Toronto.
Driven by a commitment to improving outcomes for critically ill neurological patients, Dr. Bashardost completed a Neurocritical Care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, gaining the skills necessary to excel as a neuro-intensivist.
What Dr. Bashardost enjoys most about practicing medicine is building meaningful connections with her patients and their families. She finds fulfillment in helping them understand their conditions and guiding them toward recovery, with the hope that they can return to the activities they love. She also enjoys the intellectual challenge of diagnosing and treating complex cases, particularly in neurocritical care, epilepsy, and vascular neurology.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Bashardost values spending time with her husband and their dog. She is also passionate about painting and traveling, which allows her to appreciate the beauty in life’s finer details. She is excited to begin her new journey in Traverse City where the combination of small-town charm, snowy winters, and scenic vineyards provide an ideal backdrop for both her personal and professional life.
